Description

This medication is used to help relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. Tramadol is a synthetic opioid and acts in the brain and spine (central nervous system) to reduce the amount of pain you feel.
The extended-release form of tramadol is for around-the-clock treatment of pain. This form of tramadol is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain relief. If you are using the liquid form of this medication, carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon.The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
